T’yn Rhos Wines Of The Month: December

Here at Ty’n Rhos, we work very closely with our wine merchant to ensure that we are continuously providing new and fantastic wines for our guests. Our wine list includes a wide range of both conventional and biodynamic wines, all personally tasted so that we can recommend the best of the best. 

Alongside our wine list, we also like to share our wines of the month which have been carefully selected to compliment our North Wales fine dining menu. This month we have two brilliant wines on feature; both Italian and ideal for the Christmas season.

AMANTI DEL VINO TREBBIANO, RUBICONE IGT 2016

A fresh and light wine with a decent length. On the palate there is good pear and apple fruit, making it an attractive and creamy wine – ideal for everyday drinking and made from 100% Trebbiano grapes. From Emilia-Romagna, this region is known for its great wine and spectacular landscapes. This wine is great with cheese which means you can enjoy a glass (or bottle!) alongside those festive cheese boards.

AMANTI DEL VINO SANGIOVESE, RUBICONE IGT 2016

A medium bodied, dry and crisp wine that is easy going and very easy going. On the palate you will find juicy, soft fruit with hints of black cherries and plums – very festive! Also from Emilia-Romagna, this wine is one to impress and made from with 100% Sangiovese grapes . This wine is great with tomato dishes and beef so again, ideal for the festive period!

2016 Italian vintages are excellent across italy which means both of these wines will be of the highest quality. Both wines are also Vegetarian and Vegan with an ABV of 12%.
