Festival No 6

One of the most hotly anticipated North Wales events for 2014 is the incredible Festival No 6.
Festival No 6 is only in its 3rd year and at its inaugural edition in 2012, it picked up many awards such as the Best Small Festival at the NME Awards and Best New Festival at the UK Festival Awards. Now it has a loyal following of fans and each year attracts bigger crowds with its unique style.
If you are planning a holiday with Tyn Rhos Snowdonia Hotel for the first weekend of September, you should definitely check out this amazing festival that takes place right here in the Snowdonia region. Tyn Rhos is only a short drive from Portmeirion, home of the fantastic festival but gives you enough distance to unwind after a day of admiring the bands and artists so you do not have to battle with other festival goers for a good night’s rest.
Festival No 6 is an unusual festival set in an unusual town. Portmeirion is styled on a Mediterranean town with its architectural and layout but is surrounded by the stunning Snowdonia landscape. It also happens to be the set of the popular 1960s show The Prisoner, hence the name of the festival for those who are familiar with its storyline. This luxury and unique setting is what has allowed Festival No 6 to stand out and to develop into something quite different from other outdoor festivals. With its artistic displays, woodland poetry reading, champagne and oysters, it is quite unlike anything you will have experienced before.
With some of the biggest names in music like folk rock sensation Beck, The Pet Shop Boys and London Grammer, this is a festival you will not want to miss.
The Tyn Rhos Country House is one of the best Snowdonia hotels and provides the perfect accommodation for those attending the festival, who also want to enjoy the beauty of the Snowdonia coastal region. The Tyn Rhos Snowdonia Hotel near Caernarfon is a convenient distance from the Festival but provides a relaxing environment to unwind in after a thrilling day of music and the arts. With our individually decorated luxurious rooms, fine dining restaurant, stunning views and charming gardens we can offer a wonderful holiday for all those looking to explore Snowdonia.
Remember to book online with us soon as spaces are filling up fast for the festival weekend. Festival No 6 takes place on the 5th, 6th and 7th September.
