Some noteworthy clubs less than an hour’s drive away are as follows:

Caenarfon Golf Club (5.75 miles)

Established over 100 years ago and located between the mountains of Eryri and the Menai Straits, the Club boasts magnificent views, true running greens and challenging holes at 18 holes and almost 6,000 yards.

Maesdu Golf Club (17.10 miles)

A Championship quality course, one hundred years of gold history, stunning scenery with panoramic views across the curving and sweeping Conwy Bay from the Great Orme to the mountains of Snowdonia, Maesdu prides itself on it’s immaculate fairways, challenging greens, and boasts being a true test to all golfers of all ability.

Nefyn & District Golf Club (23.17 miles)

Dramatically located on the cliff tops at the foot of the Porthdinllaen headland, Nefyn has been compared in terms of exhilaration to Ireland’s Old Head of Kinsale. Cited as golf on the edge of the world, Nefyn & District’s Point is world-famous, with the peaks of the Wicklow Mountains across the Irish Sea visible on a clear day.

Yet golf doesn’t have to be all that there is to your stay in North Wales. For golf widows, the oldest city in Wales – Bangor is only a 15 minute drive away and offers a large assortment of shopping experiences. In addition Snowdonia’s fabulous riding stables (situated between the sea and Mount Snowdon) offer truly superb riding experiences amongst some of the most beautiful mountain and coastal scenery in Wales – completely traffic free.
